Character Descriptions:

George: A sometimes neurotic, witty accountant with a self-deprecating sense of humor.

Doris: Warm, intuitive, and grounded, she begins as a young, somewhat uncertain woman but gradually blossoms into a confident, independent thinker. 

Actors themselves can be any age but the characters, George and Doris, age from their 20s to their 50s during the play. Actors should be convincing through that age range.

Rehearsals will typically be Monday through Thursday 7pm through 9:30pm until tech week. We start rehearsals December 15th for one week, take a two week break for the holidays, then start again January 5th.

Because this is only a two person show, conflicts must be kept to a bare minimum.  One person’s conflict basically postpones or cancels rehearsal for that night.  Please come to audition with your list of conflicts.  Unfortunately, excessive conflicts will affect your ability to be cast.
